CONGRAD Kick-off in Subotica

Subotica Group PhotoThe CONGRAD Kick-off Meeting, hosted by Subotica Tech – College of Applied Sciences (Serbia), was attended by 40 representatives from all CONGRAD partner institutions. The main objective of this meeting was to acquire a mutual understanding of each partner’s roles, tasks and responsibilities within the CONGRAD Project. A general introduction to the project activities was accompanied by keynote speeches from EU experts. In addition the constitutive meeting of the CONGRAD Steering Committee was held.

Jana Nöller (Bielefeld University) and Predrag Lažetić (Centre for Education Policy) presented a comprehensive introduction to the CONGRAD Project: The project’s background and objectives as well as the organizational structure and the work packages were presented  The project’s implementation was discussed with the partner institutions’ representatives and decisions on the time frame for upcoming project activities were made.

In his keynote speech Harald Schomburg (INCHER-Kassel) provided an overview on the methodological approaches of graduate surveys in Europe and gave significant advice for a successful project implementation within the CONGRAD Project. Two more keynote speeches were dedicated to the presentation of results from recent European graduate surveys. Juhani Rautopuro (University of Jyväskylä) gave an account of graduate employment research activities in Finland. Radim Ryška (Charles University in Prague) referred to the Czech case based on results from REFELX.
